Mark C. Bentz joined the Assaro Funeral service in 1990 and worked along with John J. Assaro until 1991, when he took over the funeral home and the name was changed to the Assaro-Bentz Funeral Service. The Assaro Funeral Service originated in 1928 and was formerly operated by Nicholas, Dominick and John Assaro. In 2005 the firm became known as the Bentz & Amodio Funeral Service, when Angelo F. Amodio joined the firm and now serves as manager.
