Adrienne Mandel, 78, passed away peacefully in Utica, New York, on April 20, 2026. Born to Sylvia and James Mandel in the Bronx, New York, Adrienne graduated from Bayside High School in Queens in 1965. She attended the University of Arizona and later earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in art from New York University.

After college, Adrienne traveled throughout Europe and later lived and worked in California as a graphic artist. A deeply creative person, she expressed herself in many ways, with special interests in sculpture and photography, and created her own work while living in Delray Beach, Florida. She was also an avid lover of animals, especially dogs.

Later in life, she made her home in the Utica area. She is survived by her loving and devoted sister, Lois Portman; her nephews, Douglas and Eric Portman; and her grandnephew and grandniece, Jack and Margaret Portman.

Interment will be at Mount Moriah Cemetery in Fairview, New Jersey, with a private family service. Arrangements are with Mark C. Bentz Funeral Service, Inc., New Hartford.
