Obituary

Alfred A. (Al) Eisele, 88, of Deansboro, passed away Friday, May 23, 2008 at the Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare Center. He was born February 3, 1920, in Oriskany Falls, the son of the late Alfred and Anna Erath Eisele and was educated in Waterville schools. Mr. Eisele was a US Army veteran of WW II. On June 7, 1941, in Manlius, he married Jeanette M. Austin. She passed away January 7, 1986. In 1947, the Eisele's purchased a dairy farm in Deansboro and operated it until 1977. Mr. Eisele later worked with the Oneida County Department of Public Works, retiring in 1992. Mr. Eisele was active in the Pleasant Valley Grange for many years and was a member of the Independent Order of Oddfellows Lodge #266 in Rome. He is survived by a daughter, Sharon Eisele of Deansboro; a son and daughter-in-law, Dale and Kathleen Eisele of Waterville; two grandchildren, Sarah Eisele of Manchester, CT and Austin Eisele and his wife, Julie of Marlboro, MA; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by four sisters, Mary Eisele, Frances Salm, Elizabeth Peters and Agnes Eisele. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral on Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Kloster-Northrop & Bentz Funeral Home, 210 E. Main St., Waterville, with Pastor Tim Burns officiating. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in Crown Hill Memorial Park, Kirkland. There are no calling hours. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to all the doctors and nurses who cared for Al over the years.
