Angela V. Sardina, 40, of Utica, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, August 22, 2009, in the comfort of her home, with her loving family by her bedside. She was born October 12, 1968, in Utica and was educated in Utica and New Hartford schools. Angela was the daughter of Charles (Chuck) Sardina and Barbara Stivason Peters and the step-daughter of Melanie Sardina. Angela is survived by her father and step-mother, Charles (Chuck) and Melanie Sardina; her mother, Barbara Peters; her daughter, Breona Sardina; her son, Frederick Sardina and his fianceé, Tammy Greiner, all of Utica; two sisters, Maria Sardina and her fiancé, Mark Randall, Chadwicks, and Tammy Crouse, Utica; her brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Cheryl Sardina, Fabius; two step-brothers, Mitchell Stivason and Keith Peters, both of PA; her beloved granddaughter, Jalissa Sardina, Utica; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Angela was predeceased by her son, Phillip Sardina, in 1991. Angela's funeral will be held on Thursday, August 27, 2009, at 9:00 a.m. from the Bentz & Amodio Funeral Service, Inc., 470 French Rd., Utica/New Hartford, and at 10:00 a.m. from St. Mary of Mt. Carmel/Blessed Sacrament Church, where her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. James Cesta. Private interment will be held in St. Agnes Cemetery. Calling hours for family and friends will be held on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
