Ann C. Doolen, 79, of New York Mills, passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, with her family by her side.

She was born April 23, 1944, in Utica, the daughter of the late Henry and Elizabeth Schaerer Curtin. Ann received her education at St. Francis deSales and UFA Schools.  For over 20 years, she was employed with Holland Farms where she was loved by all for her warm friendly smile. She was a devoted Catholic parishioner of Historic Old St. John's Church and was a former parishioner of Our Lady of the Rosary Church.

Ann was a loving devoted wife and mother. She was always a warm and caring grandmother who adored her grandsons, that were the light of her life.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Donald; two daughters, Elizabeth (Michael) Mitchell of Whitesboro and Marie (Todd) Masca of New York Mills; three adored grandchildren who affectionately called her "Bam", Michael Mitchell, Jr., Ryan Mitchell and Zachary Masca and his girlfriend, Nikole Walton; a sister, Cindy Jones of New Hartford; nieces and nephews; and special friends, Nick and Barb LoGalbo of Clinton and Charlie Kinney of Forestport. Ann was predeceased by a brother, Michael Curtin of Utica.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, May 22 at 10:30 am at Historic Old St. John's Church, Utica.  Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Whitesboro.  Calling hours will be Sunday, May 21 from 3-6 pm at the Mark C. Bentz Funeral Service, Inc., 13 Oxford Road, New Hartford.
