Mrs. Anna M. (Militano) Leone, 83, entered into eternal life on Wednesday, May 30, 2012, at her home, with the love and prayers of her family at her bedside. She was born and educated in Utica, the daughter of the late Dominick and Elizabeth Militano. On August 14, 1947, Anna married John L. Leone in St. Mary of Mount Carmel Church. After forty years of marriage, John passed away on May 26, 1987. Anna was employed as a cook for many years at the Frankfort-Schuyler School District and, at one time, she was a part-time employee of M & M Cleaners. Anna will always be remembered for her fun loving ways, especially her love for dancing and karaoke, and her keen sense of humor. Anna is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph, Sr., and Joyce Leone, of New Hartford, and John, Jr., and Cindy Leone, of Herkimer; one daughter, Teresa Leone, of Utica; two brothers, Matthew and Mary Militano and Vincent Militano, both of Utica; her in-laws, Frank and Mary Leone, of FL, Carmelina Ziobro, Anna Mezzanini, Robert and Eleanor Leone, and Tina Leone, all of Utica, and Rose Mattia, of Rome; her beloved grandchildren, Tracy, Joseph, Jr., Robert, Michael, Hope, John, III, and Joshua Leone; one great-grandson, Nicholas George; several nieces and nephews; and special mention of Holly, April, Kim, Michele and Tom. She will be dearly missed by her puppy, "Codi". Anna's funeral will be held on Saturday, June 2, 2012, at 9:15 AM from the Bentz & Amodio Funeral Service, Inc., 470 French Rd., Utica/New Hartford, and at 10:00 AM from St. Mary of Mount Carmel/Blessed Sacrament Church, where her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father James Cesta. Calling hours for family and friends will be on Friday from 4 to 7 PM at the funeral home. Private interment will be held in Calvary Cemetery. Anna's family is very grateful to Hospice & Palliative Care for their care, compassion and professionalism.
