Anne Theresa (Anne Marie) Ferris Sally, passed away peacefully on Friday morning, April 24, 2026. She was born on her father’s birthday, October 10, 1925 in Utica, to Rockus and Shaffia (Tanoury) Korkemaz Ferris. Anne graduated from Whitesboro High School.
Anne married her loving husband, Louis A. Sally on November 14, 1953 at St. Louis Gonzaga Church in Utica. Louis predeceased her on February 11, 1971. She worked at the Boston Store and volunteered at The Neighborhood Center before marrying and moving to Waterville. Anne worked for the Waterville School System and McLaughlin’s Department Store. After retiring, she volunteered with the reading program at the elementary school and volunteered at the Harding Nursing Home.
Anne was a previous member of the St. Joseph Society of St. Louis Gonzaga Church and the Alter Rosary Society of St. Bernard’s Church in Waterville. Anne left Waterville in 2022 to live with her daughter and son-in-law in Schenevus. She kept in touch with her many dear friends.
Anne leaves her loving children, Theresa (Tom) Norman, Paula (Dave) Franken, Joseph (Keith) Sally and Louis (Linda) Sally. She also leaves her beloved grandchildren, Luke (Alicia) Franken, Grant Franken, Brianna (Eric) Leonard and Brooke (Justin) Risney; her cherished great granddaughters, Amelia and Harper Leonard, Riley and Reagan Risney and Geneva Franken; and nieces and nephews. Besides Anne’s beloved husband and parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, Mansour and Anthony; her sister, Helen; and her in-laws, Sam and Louise Sally, and William and Leona Sally.
In honoring Anne’s wishes there will be no calling hours. Her services and Mass will be Thursday, April 30 at 10:30 am at St. Louis Gonzaga Church, 520 Rutger Street, Utica. Private interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
