Bruce E. Wentrick, 69, of Wildwood, FL, formerly of New Hartford and Oriskany, passed away Wednesday, October 27, 2010, with his family by his side, at the home of his daughter in Waterville. He was born March 26, 1941, in Albany, the son of the late Clarence and Emma Funnell Wentrick. He received his education in Albany schools and was a graduate of New Hartford Central School and SUNY Morrisville. On November 3, 1962, in New Hartford, he married Karren R. Persons. Mr. Wentrick was a truck driver with McLane Northeast in Baldwinsville, retiring in 2002. Mr. Wentrick was a former assistant scout master with Troop #4 in New Hartford, was a past president of the 5 Nations Snow Chiefs in Marcy, was formerly active with the New Hartford Marching Band and was an active member of the Syracuse Obedience Training Club. Bruce was an avid golfer, showed dogs in agility, taught road safety to truck drivers and enjoyed outdoor sports and activities. He is survived by his wife, Karren; a son and daughter-in-law, Craig and Bonnie Wentrick of Waterville; a daughter, Debra Hayes of Waterville; a brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Bonnie Wentrick of Sauquoit; four grandchildren, Heather and Jared Wentrick and Meghan and Zachary Hayes; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Carolyn DeRocher. Arrangements are with the Kloster-Northrop & Bentz Funeral Home, Waterville.
