Carol Lee DeRuby, 57, of New Hartford, passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at the Sitrin Health Care Center, with her children by her side. She was born December 25, 1955, in Troy, the daughter of the late Roy V. LaMere and Ellen (Welfel) LaMere. She was predeceased by her husband, Jim DeRuby. Together they had three children, who survive. They are Jim (Jodi) of Danville, IN, Tina (Michael) Houle of Rome, and Priscilla Pardee of Rome. Also surviving are her eleven grandchildren and a sister, Betty Doolittle. The family wishes to thank the entire staff of the Sitrin Health Care Center for all their wonderful care and compassion for many years.
