Claude W. Farber, 79, of Waterville and Punta Gorda, Florida, passed away Thursday, September 9, 2021 at his Waterville home, with his three daughters by his side.
Born May 13, 1942, in Utica, he was the son of the late Lawrence and Helena Erickson Farber and was a graduate of Waterville Central School. Claude was a contractor, inventor, recognized for designing homes and father, known for being a "hell raiser".
He is survived by seven children, Terri Buell (Eugene Klein) of New Berlin, David (Michelle) Farber of Boones Mill, VA, Tracy (Mark) Diaz of Brunswick, GA, William (Diane) Farber of Hubbardsville, Dean (Chrissy) Farber of Otego, Tricia Bushee (Dan Maynard) of New Hartford and Sean (Shendy) Farber of Wirtz, VA; two stepchildren, Donna and Lee; two sisters, Patricia Huntley (Clyde Gierut) and Linda (Brian) Decker; two brothers, Elwood (Martha) Farber and Arthur Tessier (Anne) Farber; his special friend, Mary Jane Toussaint "thanks for standing by me and taking care of me"; 20 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Claude W. Farber, Jr.; and two brothers, Victor Lawrence Farber and Lawrence Joseph Farber, Jr.
Per his wishes there will be no services or calling hours.
