Scott and Ashley Austin Powers, of Sauquoit, mourn the loss of their infant son, Crosby Patrick Powers, who became an angel on the day of his birth, Tuesday, May 21, 2013 in Crouse Hospital, Syracuse. Crosby was born in the Faxton-St. Luke''s Healthcare Center in New Hartford. Besides his loving parents, he leaves his paternal grandmother, Carolyn Nicholson of Sauquoit; his maternal grandparents, Alvin and Judith Austin of Oneida; his uncle and aunt, John and Brenda Powers of Utica; his aunt, Alison Austin of Oneida; and many cousins. Crosby was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, William Patrick Powers. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Mass of the Angels on Saturday at 10 am at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Utica. Private interment will be in Crown Hill Memorial Park, Clinton. There are no calling hours. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the doctors, nurses and entire staffs of both the Faxton-St. Luke''s Healthcare Center and Crouse Hospital, for all their wonderful care, concern and compassion.
