Obituary

Cindy (Turner) Ludden, 42, of New Hartford, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at Faxton-St. Luke''s Healthcare Center. She was born April 20, 1968, in Utica, the daughter of Harry and Elizabeth (Betty) Notaro Turner. Cindy was educated at Roosevelt Elementary School and was a graduate of T.R. Proctor High School, class of 1987. For 19 years, Cindy was employed as a data entry clerk for the Oneida County Department of Social Service. She was a member of the CSEA Union and the Rainbow Girls of the Order of the Eastern Star. Cindy was a very kind, loving and family oriented person, who always kept in touch with her family members. She was also a very talented pianist. Surviving besides her parents, Harry and Betty of Clinton; are her two beloved daughters, Antonia (Toni) and Kimberly Ludden, both at home; four sisters, Jacqueline (Jackie) Turner and Wayne Griffith, II of Utica, Regina (Gina) Waldron of Clinton, Stacie and Jeff Ferguson of Rome and Donna and Rick Cashman of Chittenango; her aunts and uncles. Alice Dorfman, Cindy Turner, Angela and Bob Rice, Paul and Diana Notaro and Joseph and Liz Notaro; several nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Erica Jalonack; and many cousins, whom she kept in contact with. She was predeceased by her grandparents, Peter and Rachael Notaro and Warren and Dorothy Turner; and her aunt, Jane Gerling. Her funeral will be Saturday morning at 9 o''clock from the Bentz & Amodio Funeral Service, Inc., 470 French Rd., Utica/New Hartford and 10 o''clock from St. Mary of Mt. Carmel/Blessed Sacrament Parish, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum. Calling hours are Friday evening (tonight) from 4-7 at the funeral home. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the many friends and co-workers who helped her in her time of need, especially acknowledging Melanie DeFazio. They would also like to thank the Utica Fire Department Rescue Unit and the emergency room staff at Faxton-St. Luke''s Healthcare Center, for all their valiant efforts.
