Obituary

Diane Dellecese Jones, 63, of Old Forge passed away at home on Wednesday, September 30, 2015. Diane was born October 28, 1951, in Utica, the daughter of Robert B. Dellecese and the late Dolores Poccia Dellecese. She attended local schools, graduating from Thomas R Proctor High School, Class of 1969. On October 2, 1971, Diane married David B Jones in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, a loving union of 43 years. In 2006, Diane and David retired and moved to Old Forge where they enjoyed small town life in the Adirondack Mountains. Diane was currently employed at the Old Forge Camping Resort and previously worked at Sacred Heart School and the Savings Bank of Utica. Surviving are her father, Robert of Utica; her husband, David of Old Forge; her daughter and son-in-law, Jodilyn Jones and Dan Aubert of New Hartford; her sons, Bryan Jones of Old Forge and Michael Jones of Utica; her grandchildren, Kayla, Jack, Jason, Arriana, Laci and Derek; and many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins too numerous to name. Special thanks to Hank Jones and Jeanette Weaver, for all of their help and also to Patricia Wadman and Elizabeth Gray, and also good friends Tracey Cave and Elaine Makey. Thanks as well to Dr. Alicia DeTraglia and to the team from infusion, especially Kim at the Regional Cancer Center. Diane was predeceased by her mother, Dolores in 2012 and her brother, Bobby in 1958. In keeping with Diane's wishes there will be no calling hours. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Utica on Tuesday at 11 am. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. The family will greet visitors at the end of Mass. Arrangements are with the Bentz Funeral Service, Inc., New Hartford.
