Dominick A. LoGalbo, 64, of New Hartford, passed away Thursday, October 6, 2016 at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare. He was born February 2, 1952, in Utica, the son of the late Anthony and Marian Arthur LoGalbo and was educated in Utica schools. Dominick, at one time worked at Utica Veal and also helped his parents with their restaurant, L & M Restaurant on Albany Street in Utica. Dominick was a soft spoken, polite, kind and gentle soul. Always respectful of others, he wore a beautiful smile and never had an unkind word for anyone. His daily stops through the Village of New Hartford were the bright spots of his life. He will be missed. He is survived by two sisters, Linda Garcia of New Hartford and Dianne LoGalbo-Stratton of Palm Bay, FL; his nieces and nephews, John and Shonna Garcia of SC, James Garcia of Sherrill, Laura and John Ungaro of SC, Michael and Shanon LoGalbo of FL and Donna and James Salisbury of KY, several great nieces and nephews; and a special aunt, Rita Esposito of Utica. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Elizabeth "Betty" LoGalbo; and his brother-in-law, Rosario "Jim" Garcia. Dominick's family would truly like to thank the wonderful and caring physicians that he was blessed with, Dr. Ashok Patel, Dr. Ashish Regulagadda, Dr. Rebecca LaValley, Dr. Paula Vecchio and Dr. Steven Sperling and their nurse, Sue. They would also like to thank the kindness of strangers, who became his friends, such as the owner and staff of Daylight Donuts, the staff at Randall's Pharmacy and his fellow neighbors and residents of the Village Point Apartments. Dominick's family will remember his life in a private celebration. In memory of this truly wonderful man, the family wishes you honor him as he would honor others, by saying a kind word, a nod or a gentle smile to someone.
