Doris M. Joslin, 89, of New Hartford, passed away Tuesday May 15, 2012 at the Sitrin Health Care Center. She was born June 15, 1922, in Deansboro, the daughter of the late Frank and Mabel Seelow and was educated in local schools. For many years, prior to her retirement, she was a self employed hairdresser in Ilion. She is survived by three children, Lorie Ackroyd of Holly, Thomas A. Welch of Sauquoit and Patricia Lawlor of Utica; 12 grandchildren, Cyrena Welch, Jessy Welch, Chantel Welch, Carol Welch, Dick Lorek, Mike Lorek, Kelly Lawlor, Jack Welch, Jr., Athena Sill, Chris Ackroyd, Jim Welch and Jeff Welch; 8 great grandchildren, Davina Rodrigues, David Rodrigues, Jaimee Tran, Joshua Sill, Cherese Sill, Matthew Welch, Brandon Welch and Lizzy Welch; and a special friend, Betty Alderman. She was predeceased by a son, Jack D. Welch. Private services will be observed by the family. Arrangements are with the Bentz & Amodio Funeral Service, Inc., Utica/New Hartford.
