Eleanor Helen Darrow, 87, a lifelong Utica resident, passed away Saturday, July 2, 2016 at The Pines at Utica. She was born February 10, 1929, in Utica, the daughter of the late Alexander and Amelia Sitera and was educated in Utica schools. Born of the Catholic faith, she later joined Mt. Zion Ministries. On August 6, 1989, in Utica, she married George H. Darrow. He passed away after 17 years of marriage on December 20, 2006. She leaves several good friends and care givers. The funeral will be Friday at 3 pm at the Bentz Funeral Service, Inc., 13 Oxford Road, New Hartford, with Rev. Ed Townsend officiating. Interment will be next to her husband George in Calvary Cemetery. A calling hour will proceed the service from 2-3 pm.
