Elizabeth A. (Betty) Langdon, 82, of Utica, passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2009 at The Pines at Utica, with her loving family by her side. She was born November 19, 1926, in Utica, the daughter of the late John S. and Geraldine Schneider Tubbs and was educated in Utica and Schenectady schools. On September 2, 1955, in Utica, she married Arthur J. Langdon, Sr., a loving union of 51 years. He passed away December 4, 2006. Mrs. Langdon was a receptionist for Bendix and later worked in the admitting department at The Faxton Hospital, retiring in 1990. She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church and the Benevolent & Protective Order of Elks Utica Lodge #33 auxiliary. Betty was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. She is survived by four children and their spouses, Leslie Ann and Robert Mondi of Deerfield, Scott and Shareen Langdon of New Fairfield, CT, Shelley and John Abraham of Whitesboro and Arthur, Jr. and Lisa Langdon of Whitesboro; a sister and brother-in-law, Gloria and Warren Evans of Clinton; 13 grandchildren and their spouses, Kate and Kevin Corrigan, Sarah and Frank Guarascio, Peter Mondi, Lindsey Abraham, Chelsea Abraham, Johnny Abraham, Joey Abraham, Michael Langdon, Joshua Langdon, Matthew Langdon, Sophie Langdon, Sadie Langdon and Owen Langdon; four great grandchildren, Brady, Jack and Matthew Corrigan and Julia Guarascio; and many nieces and nephews. The funeral will be Friday at 10 am at the Bentz & Amodio Funeral Service, Inc., 470 French Rd, Utica/New Hartford, with Pastor Anita Mohr officiating. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
