Elizabeth A. Bona, 70, of the Loretto Utica Center, went with the Lord on Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at the Heritage Health Care Center. She was born February 26, 1939, in Deansboro, the daughter of the late Wesley and Mary Carey Whitacre and was educated in Waterville schools. Mrs. Bona was employed in the health care field prior to her retirement. She is survived by two sisters, Betty Nicotera of Mohawk and Mary Lou Gunderson of Minneapolis, MN; her former daughter-in-law, Renee Bona Coppins of Yorkville; her companion of several years, Richard Mosha of Utica; and several nieces and nephews. Elizabeth was predeceased by her son, Robert Bona; her granddaughter, Alisa Bona; and a sister, Patricia Hutchings. Committal services will be Friday morning at 9:30 at the Christ Our Savior Mausoleum in Calvary Cemetery (the new mausoleum in the rear of the cemetery), with Pastor Daniel Parisi officiating. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are with the Bentz & Amodio Funeral Service, Inc., Utica/New Hartford.
