Emil C. Chambrone, Jr., 82, of Utica, formerly of Sylvan Beach, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, May 5, 2009 at the Masonic Care Community, with his loving family by his side. He was born May 8, 1926, in Utica, the son of the late Emil and Mary Scalise Chambrone and was educated in Utica schools. Emil proudly served his country in the US Navy during WW II. On November 22, 1947, in St. Anthony of Padua Church, Utica, he married the former Rose C. Pardi, a blessed union of over 61 years. Emil was a supervisor of quality control at Revere Copper & Brass in Rome, retiring in 1986. He was also a baker for many well known bakeries in the area. He was an active life member of the American Legion Post #1153 in Sylvan Beach. Emil and his wife Rose loved Sylvan Beach and resided there for 34 years, where they raised their two sons. They returned to Utica seven years ago. He is survived by his beloved wife, Rose; his daughter and son-in-law, Marylou and Thomas Allard of New Hartford; his two sons and daughters-in-law, Emil and Susan (Anthonson) Chambrone of Homer and Angelo and Susan (Noonan) Chambrone of Liverpool; his sister, Sylvia Mauro of Sylvan Beach; his in-laws, John and Edith Scotellaro of Utica, John and Evelyn Pardi of OH and Raymond Pardi of Utica; and several nieces and nephews. Emil had a special bond with his grandchildren, Christopher, T.J., Dana, Gina, Anna, Hope, Bob, Erin and Conor. He was predeceased by his brother and sister, William Chambrone and Agnes Chambrone. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 12 noon at St. Anthony of Padua Church, Utica, with military honors. Entombment will be at the convenience of the family in Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum. Calling hours for family and friends will be Friday afternoon (today) from 3-6 at the Bentz & Amodio Funeral Service, Inc., 470 French Rd., Utica/New Hartford. The American Legion will conduct services tonight at 5 o''clock at the funeral home. The Chambrone family is extremely grateful to the entire Albany Unit at the Masonic Care Community for the phenomenal care and acts of kindness and compassion extended to them. They would also like to extend a special thank you to Rev. Anthony LaFache for his visits and prayers.
