Geraldine L. Dellerba, 67, of Deerfield, passed away Friday, July 25, 2014 at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare, with her loving family by her side, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born October 5, 1946, in Utica, the daughter of the late Girard and Phillippina Marchione Pastorelli and was a graduate of Proctor High School. On October 27, 1967, in Deerfield, she married John P. Dellerba, a loving union of 47 years. For many years, she worked as a Pharmacy Technician at Slocum-Dickson Medical Group, retiring in 1998. She was a parishioner of St. Anthony & St. Agnes Church. A devout Catholic, she loved animals, music, dancing, knitting and crocheting. Geraldine lit up the room wherever she went and was the life of the party. Surviving are her husband, John; her daughter, Kimberly Dellerba of Utica; her son, Eric Dellerba and his partner, Terry Sweeney of Rochester; her devoted sister, Carol and Richard Redmond of Utica; her aunt and Godmother, Loretta Francis of Deerfield; three special nephews, Rick and Amy Redmond, Chuck and Nicole Redmond and Joey and Susan Redmond; as well as several beloved nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins; and her feline companion, Jack the Cat. She was predeceased by her brother, Philip; her sister, Roseann; and her canine companions, Mitsy, Fluffy and Brandon. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10 am at St. Anthony & St. Agnes Church, Utica. Private interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
