Obituary

Gloria J. (Flo) Buschor, 72, of Waterville, passed away Friday, December 24, 2010 at Bassett Healthcare Center in Cooperstown. She was born June 15, 1938, in Utica, the daughter of the late Louis, Sr. and Jeanne Menard Plourde and was a graduate of Sauquoit Valley Central School. On February 15, 1958, at St. Patrick's Church, Clayville, she married William Belfield. He passed away June 8, 1963. On December 28, 1963, at St. Bernard's Church, Waterville, she married Karl Buschor. He passed away November 11, 1996. Flo was an active member and Past President of the Clifford J. Fulmer American Legion Post #92 Auxiliary and attended St. Bernard's Church. Flo was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. She loved to travel and spend her winter's in Florida with her brother and special sister-in-law, Norm and Pansy Plourde. She was also an avid bowler and golfer and enjoyed making people laugh. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. She is survived by eight children and their spouses, Mark and Mary Belfield of Oriskany Falls, Mike (DoDo) Belfield of Clinton, Matthew and Lorrie Belfield of Waterville, Christine and Joseph Cutway of York, SC, Karl Buschor and his friend, Sue Price of Waterville, Kim Benedict of Clover, SC, Janice and Donald Elliott of Waterville and Crystal and Coby Maxam of Waterville; four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Barbara Daly of Clinton, Doris and Duke Mosakowski of Waterville, Linda and John Beasman of Rochester and Suzette and Stanley Walewski of Waterville; three brothers and five sisters-in-law, Thomas and Shirley Plourde of Floyd, Norm and Pansy Plourde of Waterville, Richard and Cathy Plourde of Ft. Pierce, FL, Helen Plourde of Waterville and Frances Plourde of Utica; the extended Belfield and Buschor families; 22 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers, Robert, Louis, Jr. and Jerry Plourde; and two sisters, Jean (FiFi) Madore and Shirley Clark. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 am at St. Bernard's Church, Waterville. Interment will be in St. Bernard's Cemetery. Calling hours are Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 at the Kloster-Northrop & Bentz Funeral Home, 210 E. Main St., Waterville. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the entire staff of Bassett Healthcare Center and Hospice & Palliative Care, especially Irene, Navaz, Maryann, Lisa, Janice, Chef, and Kathy Cook, for all their wonderful care and compassion.
