Harold A. Lansing, 92, of Sauquoit, passed away Monday, November 6, 2023 at Wynn Hospital, with his family by his side.

He was born September 7, 1931, in Whitesboro, the son of Edgar Eugene and Helen Jones Lansing.  He was a graduate of Whitesboro High School Class of 1949 and served in the US Navy for six years.   On June 21, 1958, at St. Paul's Church, Whitesboro, he married Nina A. Cariglio, a loving union of 65 years.  For many years, Mr. Lansing was an accountant for the Oneida County Department of Finance.  After retirement he became the superintendent of Glenside Cemetery in New York Mills.

Harold was an avid gardener and loved to tinker around the house.

He is survived by his wife, Nina; three children, Scott (Karen) Lansing of Utica, Susan (David) Shepardson of New Hartford and David (Joan) Lansing of Whitesboro; and two grandchildren, Scott (Tori) Lansing, Jr. and Grace Lansing.   Besides his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, Richard and Howard Lansing.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 14 at 11 AM at St. Patrick's-St. Anthony's Church, Chadwicks.   There are no calling hours.
