Irma Rosenfeld, 92, of Utica, formerly of Clinton, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 7, 2025 at Wynn Hospital.

She was born in Brooklyn, New York on April 19, 1933, daughter of the late Louis and Gussie Radest.  Irma graduated from Far Rockaway High School and received a bachelor's degree from Queens College and a master's degree from the University of Rochester, both in English.  On September 11, 1955, she married William Rosenfeld, who preceded her in death in 2023 after a blessed union of 67 years. Irma served for several years on the English faculties of Utica and Hamilton Colleges; her time at Hamilton College was further distinguished by her 5 years of service as Dean of Students.

Among her many interests were music, creative writing, and travel, but her greatest love was for her family.

Irma is survived by her three children, Daniel, Andrew, and Nina; grandsons, Nikita, Eliot, and Zach; and great-grandchildren, Alex and Max.

In keeping with Irma's wishes there will be no funeral services.  In her memory, please consider donations to the charity of your choice.
