James G. (Jim) Kimball, 83, of Waterville, passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2009 at his home, with his family by his side. He was born November 2, 1925, in Hamilton, the son of the late James and Angela Kimball and was educated in Waterville schools. He was a US Army veteran of WW II. On August 29, 1947, in Delanco, NJ, he married Marcella Ann Hertell. She passed away March 8, 2007. Mr. Kimball was employed as a truck driver for many years. He was a member of the Clifford J. Fulmer American Legion Post #92. He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Delmar James of FL; six sons and daughters-in-law, Lawrence (Smokey) and Georgia of Vienna, Donald and Jayne of Waterville, George of Waterville, Robert and Evelyn of Rome, Michael and Amanda of Waterville and W. David of Waterville; three sisters, Grace Rodd of Utica, Shirley Caruso of Oriskany Falls and Bessie Curtis of OH; 24 grandchildren; 55 great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. The funeral will be Thursday evening (tonight) at 6 o''''clock at the Kloster-Northrop & Bentz Funeral Home, 210 E. Main St., Waterville, with Pastor Ed Townsend officiating. Interment will be in Madison Village Cemetery. Calling hours are tonight from 4-6, prior to the service.
