Janis Happick, of New York Mills, at 64 years of age, peacefully entered eternal rest on November 19, 2021, at Faxton-St. Lukes Healthcare Center, surrounded by friends in her final hours. Janis was born November 12, 1957, to Virginia Ruth Himburg and Richard Jay Happick in Montgomery County, Maryland. She went to live with the Hess family and attended McCarthy School and eventually graduated from DeVillo Sloan School. Janis was later employed by Monarch Industries. Janis then went to live with the Doris family until she was admitted into the Jewish Health and Rehabilitation Center on May 10, 2019. Janis was welcomed to the Gan Kavod family on October 7, 2019 where she remained until her passing. Janis loved watching Hallmark movies, snuggling her unicorn, doing arts and crafts, listening to audio books and being around her friends. The Gan Kavod family will always treasure the time we were blessed to spend with Janis, and carry her memory close to our hearts forever. Graveside services will be held at the convenience of her Gan Kavod family at Pine Plains Cemetery, North Manlius. Arrangements are with Mark C. Bentz Funeral Service, Inc. in New Hartford.
