Joseph Anthony Bartholomeo, 24, of Las Vegas, Nevada, formerly of Whitesboro, passed away on Thursday, October 20, 2016 of an accidental drowning at his home. He was born January 15, 1992, in New Hartford, the son of Gerard and Lisa Bentz Bartholomeo. Joe was educated in Whitesboro schools prior to moving to Las Vegas, where he graduated high school. Joe was a devout Catholic, enjoyed music, was extremely caring, was a talented artist and was an avid sports fan, especially the New England Patriots. He is survived by his parents, Gerard and Lisa; his sister, Danielle (Alex Vargas) Bartholomeo; his brother, Benjamin Bartholomeo; two nieces, Magdalena and Vivianna; aunts and uncles, John Bartholomeo, Linda (Ken) Budlong, Louise Keech and Mark (Amy) Bentz; and several cousins. Joe was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, John and Rochatell Bartholomeo; his maternal grandparents, Curtis and Shirley Bentz; and his uncles, Vincent Bartholomeo and Michael Bentz. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10 am at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, North Las Vegas, NV. Interment will be in Palm Northwest Cemetery.
