Josephine M. (Josie) Rapan, 67, formerly of Utica, passed away Monday, March 29, 2010 at Loretto in Syracuse. She was born January 13, 1943, in Utica, the daughter of the late Michael and Antoinette Scalise Guarno and was educated in Rome schools. Josie is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Vincent and Tammy Guarno of Cicero and Michael Robb of Utica; two granddaughters, Miranda and Carly Guarno, both of Cicero; three sisters, Kate Gendron of Clayville, Rose Pritchard of Clayville and Yolanda Tomascak of FL; one brother, Mike Guarno of Utica; and many nieces and nephews. Services will be Wednesday evening at 6 o'clock at the Bentz & Amodio Funeral Service, Inc., 470 French Rd., Utica/New Hartford, with Rev. David Sambor officiating. A calling hour will be held Wednesday from 5-6, prior to the service.
