Josephine D. "Jodie" King, died on Sunday December 6, 2015 after a brief illness. Born in Utica in 1911, she was pre-deceased by her husband of 67 years, Col. Laurence T. She is also survived by several grandnieces and grandnephews. Col. King and Jodie spent 30 years of military service traveling the world, retiring in Utica. After her husband's death in 2001, Jodie moved to Buffalo and was a resident of the Greenfields Lutheran Adult Community in Lancaster for 13 years. Jodie was a deeply religious woman and touched the world with peace and love in every day that she lived. She will be missed by her family and friends, not only for the example she set in the world, but also the joy and happiness she brought to every life she ever touched.
