Kathryn N. Michaud, 58, of Stone Rd., Madison, passed away Friday, December 25, 2009 at Community Memorial Hospital, Hamilton, with her family by her side. She was born March 17, 1951, in Utica, the daughter of Marjorie King Manion Carmichael and the late Royce Manion and was a graduate of Sauquoit Central School, Class of 1969. On June 21, 1975, at St. Bernard''s Church, Waterville, she married Michael R. Michaud. Kathryn is survived by her husband, Mike and mother, Marjorie Carmichael, both of Madison; two daughters and a son-in-law, Felicia and Greg Tice of Oriskany Falls and Olivia Shauger of Munnsville; a sister and brother-in-law, Lynda and Jim Gwilt of Edmeston; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Dennis and Darlene Staring of Cassville, Rodney and Cathy Manion of Waterville and Roger and Noni Manion of Clifton Park; four grandchildren, Josh Tice, Hannah Rice, Nicholas Rice and Lucas Tice; her step mother, Goldie Manion of Waterville; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her father Royce, she was predeceased by her special adoptive mother, Helen Staring. A celebration of Kathryn''s life will be held Sunday. January 3, 2010 from 1-4 pm at the Clifford J. Fulmer American Legion Post #92, State Route 20, Waterville. Spring interment will be in St. Bernard''s Cemetery, Waterville. Per Kathryn''s wishes, there will be no formal funeral or calling hours. Arrangements are with the Kloster-Northrop & Bentz Funeral Home, Waterville.
