Kenneth D. (Kenny) Parr, 61, of Clinton, passed away Sunday, June 30, 2013 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, with his family by his side, after a brief illness. He was born August 30, 1951, in Everett, WA, the son of the late Kenneth and Gertrude Bonkowski Parr. He was a graduate of New Hartford High School and received his business degree from Fulton County Community College. Ken was a partner in P & S Pools in New York Mills and later worked as a union carpenter. He was a member of the Carpenters Union Local 747 in Syracuse and was an avid golfer who played in the Wednesday Night Men''s Leaque at Crystal Springs. Ken is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Irene (Renee) and Joseph Varieur of New Hartford; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Michael and Sherry Parr of Binghamton and Robert and Dale Parr of Sauquoit; two nieces, Amy and Mark Bentz and Jessica Parr; two nephews, Ryan Parr and Austin Parr; and a grand niece and nephew, Maria and Maxwell Bentz. Services will be Wednesday evening at 7 o''clock at the Bentz Funeral Service, Inc., 470 French Road, Utica/New Hartford with Pastor Ed Townsend officiating. Private interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Whitesboro. Calling hours are Wednesday from 5-7, prior to the service.
