IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Linda B.
(Marsden) Mineo
February 3, 1949 – February 21, 2025
Linda B. Mineo, age 76, of New Hartford, passed away on February 21, 2025 from ovarian cancer in the comfort of her home with her loving family by her side.
Linda was born in New Hartford on February 3, 1949 and was the second born of eight children to the late Harold and Ruthie Marsden. She was raised, educated and was a 1967 graduate of New Hartford High School. On May 10, 1969, she married Patrick J. Mineo, her high-school sweetheart and the love of her life.
Linda is survived by her husband and her cherished children, LeeAnn and Kevin McCoy, JoAnn and Kevin Freeland, and Michael and Melissa Mineo. Linda loved her grandchildren and is survived by Janlynn and Kagan Crawford, Kaleigh and Xander McCoy, Tyler and Matthew Freeland, and Jenna Mineo. In addition, she leaves behind a special nephew and his wife, Richard and Lisa Mineo and their loving children, Rachelle, Jacob and Sarah Mineo. Linda is also survived by her three siblings, Sheila Ryan, Ruth Skutnik, and Irene (Eugene) Freeland. She was predeceased by her siblings, Carol Goyette, Harold Marsden and Charles Marsden.
Linda loved to garden and plant her dahlias and gladiolas and then watch them bloom into beautiful flowers. She loved to make strawberry rhubarb jam and her family and friends will miss this sweat treat.
Linda loved helping children and she found happiness working as a library aide at E.R. Hughes Elementary in New Hartford where she retired from in 2012. She loved books and loved giving books with her handprint traced inside to her grandchildren.
Linda loved life and found joy in all things – her loving grandchildren, dancing and watching the Hallmark channel, her faith, watching a sunrise, floating in her pool, taking a long walk and loving her Patrick.
Her family wishes to thank Dr. Kenneth Visalli, Jr. for his dedicated care. They extend thanks to Hospice & Palliative Care and their loving staff during Linda's time of need. Her family also thanks her cousin, Barbara and Nicholas LoGalbo for loving Linda like a sister and their children, Scott, Brian and Gregory for loving Linda like an aunt. They send love and appreciation to Tommy Perry for escorting Linda when she needed him the most.
