IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Linda E.
(Schwartz) Dresher
June 12, 1939 – June 2, 2025
Linda Schwartz Dresher (85) passed away on June 2, 2025. She was born in Rhode Island and raised in Syracuse, NY. Linda was the eldest daughter of Joseph and Edna Schwartz. She was a graduate of Nottingham High School. Linda married Donald L. Dresher of Utica on December 25,1966. They resided in New Hartford and raised their family there.
Linda was a member of the Junior League, Hadassah, and a long-standing member of Temple Beth-El. She was a vital member of the Jewish Community Center Holocaust Remembrance Committee. Linda had an intense appreciation for the arts demonstrated by her involvement in the programs at Munson Williams and love for going to the opera and movies. She was a lifelong lover of the ballet and travelled to Saratoga every year for performances. She enjoyed her bridge and mah-jongg games, and all her friends who played with her. Linda will be remembered for all these engagements and maybe most famously for how well dressed she was at all times.
She is predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Edna Schwartz; and brother, H. Bruce Schwartz. She leaves behind her husband of 58 years Donald; and her two children, Ilyssa and Cary; her five grandchildren, Jacob, Ethan, Piper, Noah, and Reilly also carry on her memory; her sister, Rosalind Schwartz (Steve); her brothers, Mark Schwartz (Bonnie) and Robert; along with many nieces and nephews
In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to Temple Beth-El or St. Jude's Hospital.
The funeral will be held at Mark C.
