(Cianchetti) Corleto
September 9, 1924 – January 18, 2025
Clinton-Louise R. (Cianchetti) Corleto, age 100, passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at the Wynn Hospital in Utica.
She was born on September 9, 1924, in Rome, a daughter of the late Frank and Felicia (Cerrelli) Cianchetti. Louise graduated from Rome Schools and on September 3, 1945 married Vincent L. Corleto in St. John the Baptist Church in Rome. They enjoyed a blessed union of 68 years prior to his passing on December 9, 2013. Louise wore many hats during her lifetime, but her greatest achievement was raising and taking care of her family.
She is survived by her son, James "Jim" (Mary Anne) Corleto, New Hartford; her grandchildren, Ami Corleto Bales and David, Joseph (Jackie) Corleto and Theresa (Joe Benfer) Corleto; her cherished great-grandchildren, Kelsey, Everett and Rosalind Corleto, and Sam Corleto Bales; as well as several nieces and nephews. Louise was predeceased by her daughter, Linda B. Corleto-Redmond; her 4 sisters, Philomena Serrani, Sandina D'Amore, Mary Marullo and Rose Pomento; and her 2 brothers, Frank Jr. and Armando Cianchetti.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Thursday at 11:00 AM at St. Patrick/St. Anthony Church, 3364 Oneida St, Chadwicks, NY 13319, where her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. The family will receive guests after the Mass. Interment will take place in Calvary Cemetery, Utica, where she will be laid to rest next to her beloved Vincent.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to one of Louise's favorite charities, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Shriners Hospital for Children, American Cancer Society or American Heart Association. Envelopes will be available at the Mass.
