Mr. Lynn E. Williams, of Waterville, passed away Friday, September 18, 2009 at Community Memorial Hospital, Hamilton. He was born in Waterville, the son of the late John E. and Lydia A. Wood Williams. On September 11, 1944, in Waterville, he married Marjory Gardner. For many years he was employed by the Cherry Valley Oil Co. and later by the Mohawk Valley Oil Co. Mr. Williams was an honorary member of the Waterville Fire Department and was a longtime trustee and secretary/treasurer of the Waterville Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Marjory; a sister-in-law, Julia Williams of OK; a nephew and his wife, John and Anne Lapham of Stittville; a niece and her husband, Mary Ann and Jim Dicker of PA; and a great nephew, David Lapham. He was predeceased by a brother, Lewis Williams; and two sisters, Catherine Williams and Lucy Lapham. Per Mr. Williams wishes, there will be no services or calling hours. Interment will be in Waterville Cemetery. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Dr. Robert DeLorme and all the nurses at Community Memorial Hospital, for their many hours of compassionate care given to Lynn. Arrangements are with the Kloster-Northrop & Bentz Funeral Home, Waterville.
