Margaret G. Way, 100, of Oriskany Falls, passed away Sunday, February 26, 2023 at her home, surrounded by her family.

She was born March 22, 1922, in the Town of Marshall, the daughter of the late Andrew T. and Gertrude M. Vaughn Green and was a graduate of the Oriskany Falls Union Free High School.  On July 21, 1951, at St. Joseph's Church, Oriskany Falls, she married Irving K. Way.  He passed away July 25, 1994.

Mrs. Way was a farmer and partner in Green Brother's Farm in Oriskany Falls.  She was a parishioner of St. Joseph's Church, Oriskany Falls and was a life member of both the American Legion Post #404 Auxiliary in Vernon and VFW Post #9591 Auxiliary in Clinton.

She is survived by four children, Hugh (Valerie) Way of Williamsburg, VA, Dee Shantal of Oriskany Falls, Keith (Sherrill) Way of Rome and Michael (Debra) Way of Oriskany Falls; three grandchildren, Margaret Shantal (Michael Giacona) of Oriskany Falls, Molly (Dan) Brady of Oriskany Falls and Donald Shantal, III (Autumn Fallon) of Oriskany Falls; three great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by two grandchildren, James Way and Bridget Shantal; and three brothers, Hugh, Tobias and James Green.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, March 3 at 10 am at St. Joseph's Church, Oriskany Falls.  A calling hour will precede the Mass from 9 – 10 am at the church.   Spring interment will be in St. Bernard's Cemetery, Waterville.
