Margaret (Maggie) Hodges, 87, of Brookfield, passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at her home. She was born August 13, 1923, in Mohawk, the daughter of the late Howard and Pearl Phillips Ager and was a graduate of Mohawk Central School. For 42 years, Mrs. Hodges was employed with Remington Arms in Ilion and became the first female foremen in the company's history, prior to her retirement in 1982. Mrs. Hodges was a charter member of the Johnson-Rogers American Legion Post Auxiliary. She is survived by a sister, Mary Paquette of Brookfield; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles Clair Hodges. Per her request, there will be no services or calling hours. Private interment will be in Brookfield Rural Cemetery. Arrangements are with the Kloster-Northrop & Bentz Funeral Home, Waterville.
