Maria Dybacz, 89, of the Presbyterian Residential Community, formerly of Utica, passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare. She was born November 2, 1925, in Popelnyky, Ukraine, the daughter of the late Roman and Olena Romanyk Kifiak. In Germany, she married Iwan Dybacz. He passed away in 1999. She was a parishioner of St. Volodymyr the Great Ukrainian Catholic Church. Maria is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Olga and Anthony Caruso; two sons and daughters-in-law, John and Marlene Dybacz and Roman and Carol Dybacz; five grandchildren, John Dybacz, Jr., Crissy Barrone, Anthony Caruso, Daniel Caruso and Roman Dybacz, II; and eight great grandchildren. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by one granddaughter, Andrea Dybacz. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass on Monday at 10 am at St. Volodymyr the Great Ukrainian Catholic Church, Cottage Place, Utica. Interment will be in the parish cemetery, Whitesboro. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are with the Bentz Funeral Service, Inc., 13 Oxford Road, New Hartford.
