Obituary

Marie Bernadette Green, of Deansboro, daughter of the late Hugh and Kathleen McSweeney Green, passed away on Saturday, July 31, 2010, from Breast Cancer. She was a graduate of Waterville Central School, Class of 1976 and Cornell University, Class of 1980. For 24 years, Bernie was employed as a Loan Officer with the Farm Service Agency, of the United States Department of Agriculture in Marcy. She was a parishioner of St. Mary's Church in Clinton. With great sorrow she leaves her beloved sons, Joseph Daniel and Andrew Paul Wieder, and her partner, Kenneth P. Wieder, all of Deansboro. She also leaves her brothers, Joseph A. Green, PhD, his wife, Archana, and their daughter, Gwendolyn, all of Weston, MA, Andrew J. Green, PhD, and his wife, Mori, of Reston, VA, nephew, Christopher Green and his wife, Michelle, of Morgantown, WV, niece, Andrea Green, her husband, Leonardo Munoz, and their daughter, Isabela, all of Puerto Iguaza, Argentina, niece, Nicole Ravas, and her husband, Matthew, of Arlington, VA, niece, Amy Acuff, and her husband, Suhas Nayak, of Sidney, Australia, nephew, Pierce Acuff, of San Diego, CA and Peter Green, his wife Donna, and their son, Glen, all of Waterville; and her devoted and much loved sisters, Anna Therese Green, LLM, her husband, George Stairs and their children, Kathleen and John, all of Beverly, MA, and Mary Margaret Green, MD, and her husband, David Calhoun, DMD of Louisville, KY. She also says goodbye to her "favorite" cousin, Maureen Virkler Netzband, of New Hartford, whose love and humor got her through many tough days; her aunt, Margaret Green Way and cousin, Dee and family, of Oriskany Falls; as well as many other beloved cousins. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10 am at St. Mary's Church, Clinton. Interment will be in St. Bernard's Cemetery, Waterville. Calling hours are Monday evening from 4-7 at the Kloster-Northrop & Bentz Funeral Home, 210 E. Main St., Waterville. Many thanks go out to Francis Chabot, MD, Donna Pasiak, RN, and Berit Nelson, FNP, for their love and caring. Her love and thanks are also extended to her co-workers and friends, who were always willing to let her cry and cry along with her.
