Mrs. Mary A. She was born November 26, 1916, in Utica, the daughter of the late Amadeo and Anna Talento Franchi and was a graduate of Utica Catholic Academy. At one time, Mary was married to William Lentricchia and from that union they had two daughters. In 1946, she married Vincent Malara who passed away on April 25, 1972. Mary was a nursing assistant at the former Rhoades Hospital but her most enjoyable job was her role as family care giver, raising her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Santino; five grandchildren, Rhonda and Tod Demulder, Frank and Patricia Perrotta, Ronald and Laurie Santino, Estelle and Michael Seakan and Vincent and Marie Perrotta; fourteen great grandchildren, Tegan, Tyler, Tosh, Franca, Gina, Raena, Joseph, Ashley, Michael, Rylee, Lainee, Vincent, Nicholas and Joseph; one great-great grandson, Tristan; a special niece and nephew, Dr. Anthony Nappi and Cynthia Nappi and Ann Parker; and several additional nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers and two sisters. Calling hours for family and friends will be held on Thursday from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at the Church of Our Lady of Lourdes, where her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am by Rev. Joseph Salerno. Private interment will be held in Calvary Cemetery. Mary''s family acknowledges with gratefulness the loving care she received at the Hickory House at Sitrin, Nurse Practitioner Shirley Oddy and Kathy, Kim, Catherine, Jenna, Anne, Sarah, Tina, Cindy and Cornelia.
