Mr. Neville Barnett, 76 of New Hartford, NY, passed away peacefully after a long struggle with Parkinson's Disease on September 12, 2015, at Siegenthaler Center, New Hartford with his family by his side. He was born in South Africa to Samuel and Mary Barnett, and lived in London, California and New Hartford. Neville did extensive work in China, Singapore, Hong Kong and various other countries as an international consultant. He lectured at various universities about international trade relations, and was also a published author concerning international trade and foreign policy. He had a great love of airplanes, flying, and reading and also had a fervent sense of adventure, and a terrific sense of humor. He was also a strong advocate of human rights in South Africa. Neville was a member of Temple Beth El, Utica. He was the beloved husband of 51 years to Helen Barnett of New Hartford; beloved father and father-in-law to Karin and Michael Savitz and grandfather to their children Joel, Ezra and Aviva; beloved father and father-in-law to Nicole and Michael Pollak; beloved brother-in-law to Denis Rubinstein. Graveside service will be held at the House of Israel Cemetery, Wood Road, Whitesboro, on Wednesday September 16th at 4pm with Cantor Kalman Sokoloff of Temple Beth El officiating. Neville's arrangements are with Bentz Funeral Service, Inc., New Hartford.
