Ronald C. (Ron) Pierce, 71, of Deansboro, passed away Friday, March 27, 2009, at his home, with his family by his side. He was born July 26, 1937, in Utica, the son of the late Charles W. and Cecile Jones Pierce and was a graduate of Waterville Central School. On October 16, 1981, in Deansboro, he married Colette M. Feathers. For many years, Ron was employed with the US Federal Government, in Building Maintenance in Utica, retiring in 1995. For 35 years, Mr. Pierce served with the US Army Reserves. He was a member of the United Church of Christ in Deansboro and the American Legion Helmuth-Ingalls Post #232 in Franklin Springs. Ron is survived by his wife, Colette; five children, Brett Pierce of Clifton Park, Charles H. Pierce of Atchison, KS, Ronald Jon Pierce of Deansboro, Dawn M. Brinson of Belton, MO and Justin Springer of Great Bend; a sister, Carol Service of Port Orange, FL; a brother, William Pierce of Orange City, FL; ten grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. Per his wishes, there will be no public calling hours or services. Arrangements are with the Kloster-Northrop & Bentz Funeral Home, Waterville.
