Samuel Turba, 39, of Utica, passed away unexpectedly on October 31, 2020 in Utica. Samuel was born in Liberia to Alexander and Mary Turba on december 13, 1980. Samuel was married to Josephine Tuba and had two children, daughter, Patu Turba and son, Ament Turba. Samuel recenty re-entered the workforce as a cart receiver at BJ's in North Utica. He was working on his citizenship to be a United States citizen in 2021. Samuel enjoyed listening to music and singing his favorite song "American Woman". Samuel is survived by his wife, Josephine Turba; daughter, Patu Turba; son, Ament Turba; half brother, Thomas Wahn Turba; aunt and uncle, Gertrude and Peter Wilson; beloved friend, John Tama; the Liberian Community of Utica and Syracuse; dear friends and caretakers, Kelly Riesel-Rodriguez, Aja Caban and Loretta Decker; as well as friends and staff at Catholic Charities of Oneida-Madison County. A small funeral and burial will take place at Forest Hill Cemetery, Utica.
