Shelley L. Craig, 57, of Dedham, MA, formerly of New Hartford and Fairport, NY, passed away with her family by her side on Friday, November 19, 2010, after a long and courageous battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease). She was born June 13, 1953, in Bangor, ME, the daughter of the late John and Jane Craig. She was a graduate of New Hartford Central School and SUNY Cobleskill. Shelley had successful careers in Rochester with Mobil Chemical and most recently, MVP/Preferred Care as a credentials specialist. Shelley was a source of inspiration to all and she devoted her life to her family and friends. She was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, and friend to many. Shelley will be honored for her love of life and incredible strength. She is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Paul Cisco of New York City; a brother and sister-in-law, Thomas (Tucker) and Diane Stover-Craig of Norwood, MA; her uncle and aunt, William and Gertrude Craig of New Hartford; nieces and nephews, Kristen, Daniel and wife Jackie, Alison, Joseph, MaryJane, Maddie, Annie, Matthew, Andrew, Craig, John and Marc; and cousins, Susie and Barb and her husband Dennis and their daughter, Malia; two sister-in-laws, Monica Shean-Craig and Nancy Craig. She was predeceased by her brother, Michael. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10 am at St. John the Evangelist Church, New Hartford. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Whitesboro. Calling hours are Monday from 4-7 pm at the Bentz & Amodio Funeral Service, Inc., 470 French Rd., Utica/New Hartford.
