Stuart Merwin Greene, 88, of New Hartford, NY, died December 25, 2012. Born September 21, 1924 in Utica, NY he was the son of the late William and Florence Greene. He Graduated from UFA and from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Finance with high honors . Mr. Greene was a US Army veteran of WW II. On June 5, 1949, he married Lois Friedlander. He was a member of Speech Choir at UFA, lifelong member of Temple Beth El, served on it's Board of Trustees, and was honored as a Lifetime Trustee in 2007. He worked in the retail field. Stuart leaves his wife, Lois; two daughters, Sherry Greene of MA and Sajit (Wendy) Greene of NC; son, Richard and his wife Robyn Greene of CA; granddaughter, Beth Tupper of MA; sister, Elinor Lampert of New Hartford; brother in law, William Ross of AZ; and several nieces, great nieces and great nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Syril Ross of AZ and a brother-in-law, Larry Lampert. Private graveside service Friday, December 28, 2012, which will be followed by a luncheon at 1:00 PM at Temple Beth El, 2710 Genessee Street, Utica, to which family and friends are invited. Arrangements are with the Bentz & Amodio Funeral Service, Inc, Utica/New Hartford.
