Vincent L. Corleto, 92, of New Hartford, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 9, 2013 at Faxton-St. Luke''s Healthcare, with his family by his side. He was born August 19, 1921, in Utica, the son of the late Donato and Mary Albano Corleto and was educated in New York Mills and Whitesboro schools. He was a Staff Sergeant with the US Army Air Force, serving with the 8th Division during WW II. On September 3, 1945, at St. John the Baptist Church in Rome, he married Louise R. Cianchetti, a loving union of 68 years. For 32 years, Mr. Corleto was a Manufacturing Control Specialist with General Electric in Utica, retiring in 1983. He was a parishioner of St. Thomas Catholic Church in New Hartford. Surviving besides his wife, Louise; is a son and daughter-in-law, James and Mary Anne Corleto of New Hartford; a brother and sister-in-law, Dan and Marie Corleto of Utica; three grandchildren, Ami Corleto Bales and her husband, David, Joseph Corleto and his wife, Jackie and Theresa Corleto; two great-grandchildren, Kelsey Louise Corleto and Everett Joseph Corleto ; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his beloved daughter, Linda Corleto-Redmond; two sisters, Nancy Houck and Josephine Moda; and two brothers, John and Rocco Corleto. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 9:30 AM at St. Thomas Catholic Church, New Hartford. Interment with Military Honors will be in Calvary Cemetery.
