Vincent A. Dunham, 87,of Utica, entered eternal rest on Saturday afternoon, October 13, 2018, at home. Vincent was surrounded by many friends in his final hours. He was born October 30, 1930, a son of the late Clarence and Grace (McIntosh) Dunham, who died during childbirth. Vincent was placed in St. Mary's Infant Home until he entered the Rome Developmental Center at the age of fifteen. In 1969, Vincent worked at the Syracuse VA as a nurse's assistant trainee. Vincent enjoyed living in the community and having independence for a long period of time. He had many friends in the community and was well known in the Utica area. Vincent volunteered at the Stanley Theater as an usher. Due to increasing age, and declining health Vincent moved to the DSO and eventually he moved into Gan Kavod on March 12, 2010. Vincent will be missed by his Gan Kavod family and his special friend, Susan Oakey. Graveside service will be Thursday at 2pm at the Forest Hill Cemetery, Oneida Street, Utica. Arrangements are with Bentz Funeral Service, Inc., New Hartford.
