William M. (Bill) Lancuski, 67, of Oriskany Falls, passed away Saturday, February 28, 2009 at Rome Memorial Hospital. He was born November 18, 1941, in Utica, the son of Bertha Zieman Lancuski and the late Matthew Lancuski and was a graduate of Oriskany Falls Union Free School. From 1959-1961, Bill served in the US Army. For 36 years, Mr. Lancuski lived in Lakeland, FL and worked as a self employed general contractor in construction and masonry. In 2006, after his retirement, he returned to Oriskany Falls. Bill was a creative writer and poet and was currently in the process of publishing a book of his poetry. He is survived by his mother, Bertha of Oriskany Falls; four children, Robin and Russ Chatham of Kissimmee, FL and their children, Kristy, Amanda, Taylor and Tylr, Randall Lancuski and his fiancé, Teresa Sexton of Clearmont, FL and their children, Tara and Ciarra, Renee Parker and her fiancé, Freddie Clarke of Mooresville, NC and her children, Jenna "Our Angel in Heaven", Jayden, Paris and Paige, and Ricky Lancuski and Cheryl Parker of Lakeland, FL and their children, Logan and Brookes; two great grandchildren, Dakota and Devon; a sister, Barbara and Wayne Shauger of Waterville; nieces, Tina and Tami Perrin; nephew, Tim Bartlett; and his best friend, Paul Bourdeau. He was predeceased by a special cousin, Anthony James (Jimmy) David. Per his wishes there will be no calling hours or services.
