Warren Hall Obituary

Warren A. Hall, 82, of New Hartford, passed away at Faxton-St. Luke’s Healthcare in New Hartford, NY on December 12, 2022, following a valiant battle against a long series of health challenges.

Born August 4, 1940, in Chicago, IL, the son of Warren H. Hall and Patricia Hayes Hall. The eldest of seven siblings, he is survived by Geoffrey (Melinda) and Mary Patricia Sampsell and was predeceased by Gerard (Marilyn), Jacqueline Egan (Bryan), Jean Paladino (Nickolas), Cynthia Krause (Francis), nephew, Andrew Krause, and brother-in-law Jack Sampsell.

He is also survived by sister-in-law, Virginia Neumeister (Frank) and many cherished nieces and nephews.

On June 27, 1964, Warren was united in marriage with Nancy A. Pfizenmayer in Feasterville, PA, and together they raised their three children, encouraging each to follow their own path - daughter, Kristie (Michael Deeter) now living in Doha, Qatar with beloved grandchildren, Anna and Marcus Deeter, son, Steven in Birmingham, AL, and daughter, Darcey in Las Vegas, NV.

Warren graduated from Temple University in Philadelphia with a master’s in Industrial Psychology and Statistics, launching his career in computational sciences at UNIVAC. He and Nancy moved to New Hartford in 1971 to join Mohawk Data Sciences as a Senior Systems Analyst, and ultimately retired from Chicago Pneumatic.

Warren’s ethos of community service may be seen in his various roles: as a Life Member of Kiwanis International (having served as Lt. Governor and a New York District Board Member), as a New Hartford Republican Ward Chairman, and as a committed coach and referee with AYSO soccer and New Hartford Youth Hockey throughout his children’s school years.

His interests included anything which engaged his hands or mind: carpentry, clocks, computing & information technology, politics, and science. Warren had a never-ending thirst for knowledge, which fueled his hope for the future.

Fifteen years ago, Warren joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and found tremendous peace and purpose as an active member of the Church community and its doctrine.

Warren loved his family, church, and community dearly. Nancy, his beloved wife of 58 years, and his children will honor him with a Celebration of Life on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 from 2-4 pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 8439 Clark Mills Road, Whitesboro, NY 13492. All are welcome to attend the service and greet the family.
